(Click image to enlarge)I did this drawing of Charles Darwin in PhotoShop some time ago. Since Darwin introduced Natural Selection, the process by which species adapt to changes in their environment over time, I decided to pull it out for this week's IlloFri.

Been working a bit on my Photoshop drawing chops. Still getting used to drawing with the tablet. This is the first time I got really excited about the process because I could feel the potential. If I could just get more control over my line, I think I could emulate the wood engraving look that I love so much. The combination of the variable line width from the tablet with the ability pull the whites back out by switching to the eraser could afford some very exciting drawing possibilities. And of course corrections and changes are a thousand times easier than in wood engraving. Even scratchboard lacks undo, save as, and history palette.Click the image for a larger view.
